A Lucknow garbage crew unearths a dismembered body in taped plastic bags. At CBI HQ, Director Sukant Dutt and Deputy Director Mishra face PMO pressure over sixteen killings of powerful, politically-connected men. Mishra brings in blind profiler Sajal Agnihotri, who reveals this is not a gang but one meticulous serial killer with dozens of victims across a dozen states. Intercut, we watch Neha lure broker Mohan Dhariwal, paralyse him with Atracurium, and dismember him alive. Then Mishra recruits Neha — the CBI’s top forensic scientist — onto Sajal’s hunting team.

Neha advances her seduction of the freshly-divorced Sairam. In Indore, schoolchildren find a bag holding three hands — proof of a botched job that now leaves a trail. The Sutradhar introduces her adoptive father, Pundit Omkar Nath, a legendary forensic scientist who trained her, and who knows everything: her abortion, her addiction to the kill. He is her knowing accomplice and her conscience.
